‘Cruelty Free International pledge reaches the Americas, North Africa and The Middle East’

Today (14th June), the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV) posted a news item on their web-site titled ‘Cruelty Free International pledge reaches the Americas, North Africa and The Middle East’.

‘… This week the Cruelty Free International pledge has launched in more The Body Shop stores across the world, reaching customers in Europe, the USA, Canada, North Africa and the Middle East.

You can now sign the pledge in the following countries: Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Egypt, Estonia, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Pakistan, Qatar and the USA.

So far, The Body Shop stores in over 34 countries are hosting Cruelty Free International’s pledge calling for a ban on cosmetics testing on animals worldwide, empowering millions to speak out against the cruel and unnecessary use of animals to test cosmetics.

Cruelty Free International is the first organisation and campaign dedicated to ending cosmetics testing on animals throughout the world. The global campaign was launched by the BUAV on March 17th with the support of Ricky Gervais, Ambassador of the new organisation.
