‘BUAV to attend Party Conference Season 2012’

Posted on September 19, 2012

Today (19th September), the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV) posted a news item on their web-site titled ‘BUAV to attend Party Conference Season 2012’.

‘… The party conference season is almost upon us and the BUAV Policy Team will be busy over the next few weeks travelling to Brighton, Manchester and Birmingham to attend the Liberal Democrat, Labour and Conservative party conferences.

At the conferences we will be meeting thousands of MPs, MEPs, local Councillors and party members to discuss the BUAV’s campaigns and working to galvanise politicians into action on the Government’s pledge to move towards a reduction in the number of experiments carried out on animals. Animal testing numbers are at a 25-year high despite Government promise to work on reduction. The BUAV has tabled Early Day Motion 405 which has attracted cross-party support, calling on the Government to publish a clear reduction strategy and start working to reduce numbers.

Please contact your MP to sign EDM 405 and ask them to visit the BUAV Policy Team to find out how they can make a difference to the millions of animals used in laboratories. Find your MP.

To discover what the BUAV Policy Team is up to and who we are meeting, please follow us by signing up to our email alerts, follow us on Twitter, or like our Facebook page …’
