stop the badger cull: ‘Do one thing today: sign the petition!’

Posted on September 21, 2012

Today (21st September), Animal Aid posted an item on their web-site titled ‘Act now for badgers’.

‘… Do one thing today: sign the petition!

Although the appeal to halt the proposed badger cull failed at the court of appeal last week, the campaign to save badgers continues. And, with the first cull licence now issued, we must act fast.

Team Badger, led by Brian May’s group Save Me, comprises many leading animal protection organisations, including Animal Aid. This week, a billboard went up in central London and a petition has been launched on the government’s e-petition website. If 100,000 signatures are collected, it could prompt a debate in parliament. The aim of Team Badger is one million signatures.

If you have signed other petitions in the past, don’t worry. Please sign this one, too. And pass it on. Let’s go for one million signatures. Let’s speak out loudly against this unethical and unworkable cull.

Join Team Badger: sign the petition! …’
