Posted on November 3, 2012

Today (3rd November), there will be a protest march through Kingston against the culling of deer in Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

The event is listed on the Veggies AR calendar:

‘… Marching from near Bushy Park around Kingston town centre, leafletting the public and gathering support against the Royal Parks deer cull policy.

The cull is due to start in both the local Royal Parks on the first Monday of November, two days after this protest.

Meet near the War Memorial by the roundabout on the Hampton Wick side of Kingston Bridge (this will be our starting point).

Nearly 1,200 deer were killed in Richmond Park in the six years to 2008, according to figures quoted in the Evening Standard 10 Mar 2008 …’
