‘Urge Hainan Airlines not to start monkey shipments!’ – please send three emails NOW!

Posted on March 8, 2013

Yesterday (7th March), the Bitish Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV) posted an item on their web-site titled ‘Urge Hainan Airlines not to start monkey shipments!’.

‘… The BUAV has received a tip-off that Hainan Airlines, a Chinese airline, has been approached by a laboratory in the USA to start transporting primates from China for research purposes. This move follows the recent announcement on 1st March by China Eastern Airlines to suspend shipments of primates. China Eastern Airlines was a major transporter of primates to the US research industry.

In February 2012, following a BUAV campaign, Hainan Airlines announced that it would no longer be involved in the transportation of primates for the research industry. Please support our campaign to urge the airline not to change its stance on this important issue.  Please write polite emails/letters to Hainan urging the airline to maintain its policy and not take part in this cruel trade.
