Today (16th March), as it is a Saturday during the season, fox hunts all over the country will be out trying to kill any foxes which they can find – including in Essex and Suffolk. Volunteer hunt saboteurs will also be out, trying to save lives and record any wildlife crime.
(‘Fox hunts’ consist of huntsmen/huntswomen on horses with a pack of hounds, men with terriers and perhaps quad bikes, hunt servants with guns and perhaps birds of prey, and hunt followers in cars.) Hunts go out every Saturday during the season and also, sometimes, on weekdays. Foxes are pursued, trapped and horribly killed.
FOXES NEED YOU! – why not join the hunt saboteurs?! – and get some fresh air and see the countryside.
Please support the Hunt Saboteurs Association (HSA) and your local hunt saboteurs; visit the HSA web-site at www.huntsabs.org.uk/
